    Hip #487, from the Windfields Farm consignment is a colt by Silver Deputy and a 1/2-brother to Free Vacation, who  won the 3rd leg of the Canadian Triple Crown, defeating colts, since the catalog.  Free Vacation won the Breeders' Stakes (Grade One) in the fastest running in the history of that race which has been won by such greats as Chief Bearhart, With Approval and Overskate, just to name a few.
    Hip #563 is a colt by Silver Deputy, out of a 1/2-sister to Icy Groom.

Vinery At Keeneland
In September


    This Ben Walden, Jr. and his staff at Vinery have done it again.
    They come to this year's Keeneland September Yearling Sale with Vinery's most potent group of yearlings ever.
    Including in this year's Vinery consignment is a full-brother  to Bourbon Belle, who narrowly lost the Grade One Ballerina Stakes at Saratoga by a nose to Ogden Phipps' Furlough.
    Vinery also sells a 1/2-sister to Kentucky Derby winner and future Vinery stallion, Real Quiet and a 1/2-sister to Quiet American, sire of Real Quiet.

Open House

    With today being the last day before the sale starts, take time out of your busy schedule and go by the Prestonwood Farm Open House and inspect Victory Gallop, a once-in-a-lifetime critter.  Don't forget Victory Gallop ran down the outside fence in the Kentucky Derby and finished a close 2nd.
    The open house is from noon till 4:00 p.m. with lunch being served from noon to 2:00 p.m.

, in Miss Helen Alexander's Middlebrook Farm consignment, is a colt by Silver Hawk and a 1/2-brother to Exchange Rate who has finished two bang-up 2nds in both the Graded Hollywood Juvenile Stakes at Hollywood Park and the Best Pal Stakes at Del Mar.
    Hip #260 is a good-lookin' colt by a top sire and out of a very productive female family.
    Hip #316 is the best bred filly in the sale.  She is by Deputy Minister, out of the dam of Grade One winner, Aldiza, and two other black-type horses.  Hip #316 is from the same female line that has produced horses like Althea, Arch and Twining just to name a few.

Hermitage Farm On Tuesday

    Once again the "502 boys" from highway 42 in Goshen, KY have brought some serious yearlings to the Keeneland September Sale.
    Hip #455 is a chestnut filly by Unbridled out of the dam of Graded Stakes-placed Marie J. and two other stakes-placed fillies.
    Hip #469 is a real good-lookin' colt by Capote and a 1/2-brother to Graded Stakes-winner Plenty Of Sugar (10 wins, $781,765).
